Assistant Teacher Training Program
This program is designed to provide both theory and hands-on training for individuals interested in either becoming an Assistant Teacher for children ages 2½ through 6 years in a Montessori environment or who are already working in a classroom setting and would like to gain more detailed knowledge of the Montessori philosophy.
|The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Training Program includes two modules:|
|Module I (Spring Session, April 22 - 23 or Summer Session, August 14 - 15): Understanding the Montessori Method and Philosophy||$295.00|
|Module II* (Spring Session, April 29 - 30 or Summer Session, August 16 - 18): Basic Principles of Materials from the Practical Life, Sensorial, Cultural, Language, and Mathematics Areas of the Montessori Classroom.||$395.00|
|Modules I and II (Spring Session, April 22 - 23 and 29 - 30 or Summer Session, August 14 - 18): Available at a discounted rate when registering for both.||$650.00|
*Module I is a prerequisite to Module II unless a waiver is granted by the MCTD Program Director.
Discounts are available for Adult Learners who enroll in both Modules, as well as for multiple participants from the same school. The paid fee(s) for the Assistant Teacher Training Program will be applied toward MCTD’s Early Childhood Certification tuition, if an application is submitted within two years of completing the Assistant Training.
Registration is now open for our Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Training Program Spring Session, which will run from April 22–23, 9:00-1:00 and April 29-30, 2017 from 9:00am–3:00pm.
